Impact of GDPR and CCPA on Advertising
Two major regulatory changes have impacted the ability of digital advertisers and their partners to deliver and track the effectiveness of ad campaigns. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) went into effect in May 2018 in the European Union. The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) goes into effect in January 2020 in the United States.
