Advertisers who use a third-party attribution service will find discrepancies with Google’s Floodlight conversion tracking. This happens because Floodlight may count unique users and conversions differently than a third-party service. Differences can arise from:

  • Time frames (e.g., 24 hours versus 30 days)
  • A user’s acceptance of cookies, or
  • Publisher tags
Because every service uses its own method for counting unique users and conversions, discrepancies are inevitable.
